The Franciscan Friary, established in 1963, gave birth to the Holy Names House of Peace on September 1, 2004 when the Fransican priests left Winnipeg. The Secular Franciscans carry on the legacy of the Franciscan Friars at the House of Peace. They ensure that the spirit of St. Francis thrives by supporting marginalized people in prayer and service.

The statue pictured above was graciously donated by J&D Penner. She is beautiful inside and out. She is faceless, a symbolic reminder of the devastating effects of trafficking on its victims. We call her by name for Natasha is precious and honoured in our sight!
